Day 13

Things are certainly moving along.   With the old vinyl gone, Brad is now putting down some wood as the base for the new vinyl.  He probably won’t put the new one down until towards the end so it won’t get, scraped, gouged or torn.

It’s nice and smooth but not very thick – nice surface to walk barefoot as well, just have to watch for nails.

He has been moving the stove and the fridge around a lot.  The stove tends to end  up in the same place at the end of the day.

Time certainly goes by quickly for Brad – he works on several things at once, some are drying while others are being scraped.

One never knows what will end up in the corner -.

He keeps some supplies in the kitchen, sometimes the porch, sometimes in the garage.

More bondo to fix the kitchen window scrapes and gouges.

I didn’t realize how much wear and tear was on the door frame going into the living room.  There are some puncture holes, whether the cats did it, I have no idea.  I told him the cats would come running into the kitchen from the living room and find there was no traction on the kitchen floor as they rounded the corner to go into the basement.  They would find their hind legs pedaling but not getting any where – it was such a funny sight.  However, it didn’t take them long to find a foothold and be down the stairs in no time.

Always interesting to see what is on the porch each day.  Happy it is the yucky vinyl.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

He also finds it an extra work space for saws and other things he needs room to use.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

He painted the window sill with the real paint – now it is looking more the way I pictured it.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

Even where he fixed the wall underneath looks great.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

He sanded the bondo and primed the kitchen window, now it looks better than the yellow.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

The trim woodwork is all primed and the room looks a bit more what it is meant to be.  Yellow doors will be white soon.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

All the gouges on the trim of the pocket door are looking much better.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

The equipment corner ready for the next day.

How do you like the ceiling light fixture?
