Day 18

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

Not quite so many things in the living room.  Seems to fill up, empty out and then fill up again.

There is a change for my counters – they need to have another inch added so they will be 36″ high,  So Brad has added two pieces on either side and then attached the counter top permanently.

The whole adventure has had so many interesting processes to go from old kitchen to brand new, gorgeous kitchen.

Last time I saw this counter top, it was sitting smoothly in place and looking really great.  Doesn’t look quite as wonderful on the floor.

The lighting fixtures arrived today, the electrician will be coming tomorrow to install them.

The two by the stove also receive an inch extra for the counter.   Brad needs to finish them by today because tomorrow his laminate guy is coming.

The last thing he did was to put a border around the edges of each counter – really looks great.  Too bad you won’t see it after the laminate is applied.

Finally, place to put the new sink.  It is really beginning to look like a real kitchen.

More stuff in the living room.  On the right are my lights, plus the box with a photo on it is the porch light.

The pantry keeps moving too.  Sometimes it has doors and shelves, sometimes they are somewhere else and so is the pantry.

Tom is doing the laminate and when he came this afternoon, he cut everything out, ready to be glued.  We were warned that we really don’t want to be here when he glues it tomorrow, it has quite an overpowering smell.  Fortunately we have somewhere to be in the morning and in the afternoon.

He wanted the laminate to stay flat, so it is against the dining room window.  To keep it straight, we put it under the shade.
